Engineered-texture light field control films (ELCF) are developed and assembled in BLUs to modulate emission light field of BLUs according to application requests, which could be implemented with various thickness. Symmetric and asymmetric viewing angles of output are achievable as demand. ECLF is able to optimize the efficiency and specific performance for the displays equipped for the variety of niche applications.
